Spatiotemporal evolution and prediction of habitat quality in Hohhot City of China based on the InVEST and CA-Markov models

With the acceleration of urbanization, changes in urban ecological environment and landscape pattern have led to a series prominent environmental problems. In order better coordinate balanced relationship between city environment, we selected land use change data evaluate habitat quality Hohhot City China, which is great practical significance for regional economic development. Thus, integrated valuation ecosystem services tradeoffs (InVEST) Cellular Automata-Markov (CA-Markov) models were used analyze, predict, explore Spatiotemporal evolution path characteristics use, forecast typical 2030. The results showed that types changed significantly from 2000 2020, biggest took place cultivated land, grassland, shrub, artificial surface. decrease area increase surface main impact trend change. average value had been decreasing continuously values degradation 0.2605, 0.2494, 0.2934 2000, 2010, respectively, showing trend. was caused by needs development construction, as well occupation. During this evolution, many grassland converted into construction land. simulated 2030 are basically same those during 2000–2020, will still be declining. influenced rapid industrial layout. These can provide decision-making reference planning management evaluation.
